Our story began in 1977, when it all began under the name “Spugnificio Andriese”.

Fifty years of work, of people, of creative hands, of ideas that become businesses.

Those were years of courage and vision, in which founder Savino Sgaramella gave shape to a simple and concrete idea: to create useful, reliable products capable of entering people's everyday lives.

At first, they were sponges for the home, personal care, and car washes. Simple products, but crafted with a dedication that immediately made a difference. With the Tittex brand and the first private label collaborations, these products began to gain recognition and build trust.

Over the years, we have expanded our scope of operations, expanding our traditional segments to include the professional sector, with products dedicated to industrial environments and the HoReCa sector. This evolution is the result of a constant ability to adapt to market needs, combined with a continuous focus on innovation, quality, and service.

Our team combines cross-disciplinary skills, operational experience, and ongoing training. We monitor every stage of the process, from conception to implementation, to ensure customized solutions, high standards, and a precise response to each client's specific needs.

Over the years, our company has evolved, expanding its horizons to include food preservation and cooking, becoming a leading manufacturer of aluminum trays and solutions for everyday kitchen use. A natural evolution, guided by the same guiding principle as always: offering quality, practicality, and reliability.

Between the 1980s and 1990s, the company consolidated its position, becoming a benchmark in Puglia and then in Southern Italy. Each milestone reached was never a point of arrival, but a new beginning. The 1990s marked the beginning of a national expansion journey: new products, new skills, new technologies, and new people joined our story.

Growth has never been just about numbers, but profoundly human. We've always focused on customer service, quality, and punctuality. These values ​​have built our credibility, day after day, delivery after delivery.

In 2001, our story took another decisive step, becoming "Spugnificio Meridionale sas di Sgaramella Savino & C." and finding a new home: a modern facility in Trani, 10,000 square meters of work, organization, and a future. Four warehouses that speak to the solidity of a company that has continued to believe in its own growth.

In recent years, our business has expanded further, strengthening our presence in the food preservation and cooking sector and consolidating our presence in the professional world with products intended for industry and the Horeca channel.

And today, fifty years after it all began, we are experiencing a moment that marks a new chapter in our history. This important milestone marks a generational transition: founder Savino Sgaramella is handing over the leadership of the company to his children Riccardo, Giuseppe, and Valeria.

Fifty years later, we remain faithful to that initial idea: to do simple things well. But today we do it with greater experience, greater strength, and an even broader vision.

And 2026 marks a new beginning: the launch of production of a line entirely dedicated to food wraps, with film, baking paper, and aluminum foil.
